CCW Safe – Dealing with the Aftermath

This post was originally published on this site.

Everyone is John Wick until the bullets start flying in the opposite direction. This is a truth that was hit home recently during an event I attended with CCW Safe at the Gun Talk headquarters in Louisiana. We were there to get a closer look at who CCW Safe really was. There was no better way to demonstrate that than running force-on-force scenario drills. What I walked away with, however, was more than shoot house tactics. It was a deeper understanding of the totality of being involved in a defensive shooting. My biggest takeaway was the absolute need for people to know about CCW Safe.

CCW Safe – Helping you Deal With the Aftermath of a Shooting

The facilities at Gun Talk are of world-class quality. With Ryan Gresham at the helm and Chris Cerino steering the training, they have an enhanced ability to offer a large spectrum of services. From a massive production studio to an extensive range and serious shoot house, Gun Talk holds a unique position in the industry.

While I had a general understanding of who CCW Safe was, I did not grasp the differences that make them stand apart in the quickly growing CCW insurance market. Unlike other products on the market, CCW Safe takes a holistic approach with its clients. They understand that when you are forced to defend yourself or your family with deadly force, it is a traumatic event. No matter how prepared you think you are, being involved in a self-defense incident can impact your life on both a personal and professional level.

Founded by Retired Police Officers

CCW Safe was founded by retired police officers Mike Darter and Stan Campbell, along with attorney Kyle Sweet. The company started because of Darter’s experience and knowledge of the coverage law enforcement had access to. They had the desire to make the same coverage and level of service available to the public for critical self-defense incidents. The company offers comprehensive plans for all private citizens. This includes retired and active-duty law enforcement officers and military members. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, CCW Safe has emerged as a leader in self-defense coverage. They do this through their one-of-a-kind service, comprehensive coverage, and a team of experts in their respective fields.

CCW Safe’s unique approach is designed to meet the complete needs of its members. They do this with their top legal counsel and experienced homicide investigators, bringing their insight to the case. Offering the support you need, when you need it, they also recognize how a self-defense incident can impact your mental health. Therefore, they take the time to also address the emotional and mental side, with added peer support and licensed psychologists for both you and your family.

Actual Events

While the team did not share details, they provided an overview of some of the issues they had addressed and how they responded. They told stories of buying clothes for people, getting them hotels, and even helping with workouts and nutrition.  What cannot be conveyed in words is the sincerity and emotion that were evident when they talked about these things. CCW Safe is not a cold, heartless insurance company. They are a team of people who genuinely care about their members,

To help us understand the entirety of a self-defense event, we ran force-on-force simulations. We conducted these in a variety of settings, ranging from a shoot house to the parking lot. Each one was fluid, and no specific outcome was scripted. It hit home the fact that your actual shooting skills are just half of what you need in real life. Person protection is an intellectual endeavor, and you need to train your mind as much as you train your body.
